Malta – Extended post!

It’s currently 22:15 and I’m sitting here at Hotel Preluna at Malta, Valetta. I came back from the vessel and arrived at the hotel 15:30 earlier today. And boy, it was nice to get off! I don’t dislike my job and I don’t mind my work, but spending more than 1 week onboard a vessel seems to be enough for me. 
For those of you who don’t know what I do for a living, then I’ll give you a small explanation. I work with installing IT&C solutions onshore and offshore. Also troubleshooting, scripting and network administration. Should give you a brief explanation.
Anyway, if you read my earlier post then you probably know that I don’t like Malta. Now, I’m probably retarded since I said I hated it after staying here for only 3 hours. But first impressions is always the most crucial part whether you like something or not, isn’t it ? At least it is for me. I know that alot of people say that Malta is great, but quite frankly, I don’t see it. It’s a island with cramped streets and buildings which looks like they were built in the 1920. that’s probably the point too, but I guess it just doesn’t fit me. I’m sure that I would like this place more if I had some time to check out some of the historical places here on Malta, but I’m not that curious that I’m planning on coming back, ever again. As you can see from the photo, quite the spectacular view no ? The first thing which popped into my mind when I saw the view, was that I was playing Call of Duty or something. Like jumping into the map Favela… I’m a nerd, deal with it.
Anyways. I’m leaving this island tomorrow and heading home. Quite the trip actually. Malta > Frankfurt > Stavanger > Bergen > Stord. I’ll be travelling all day.. don’t exactly look forward to that, but it’s okay. At least I get back home!
